Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) is a blue-green microalgae that belongs to the cyanobacteria. The term "algae" is therefore not entirely correct, because it is actually a bacterium. The addition "blue algae" received Spirulina because of its blue-green appearance.
Spirulina thrives in alkaline water. During the extraction, the algae are first separated from the culture medium. They are then washed several times, vacuum filtered, gently spray dried.
Spirulina contains proteins, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, fiber and chlorophyll
We offer Spirulina in the following variants:
Spirulina Tablets, conventional quality
Spirulina Tablets, organic quality
The world's largest growing areas for Spirulina are found in China. For those who do not like the Chinese origin we also offer Hawaiian Spirulina.
