Grape Seed Extract
Oligomeric proanthocyanidins , commonly also known for their short form OPC , are naturally occurring polyphenols from plants in the group of flavanols.
These are declared to be the strongest antioxidants applicable from plant substances. They can be found in nature in various concentrations, but especially in the seeds of grapes of the genus vitis vinifera, from which they are mainly obtained today.
Since the artificial concentration of OPC in the end product is almost impossible during the manufacturing process, the selection of the raw material is of essential importance. The grapes are crushed and rinsed with water to reveal the seeds. The OPC is extracted from these and then filtered by membrane filtration.
